Vertical Axis Small Wind Turbines
New Edison Energy is proud to be the exclusive distributor across nine Midwestern states of Hi-Energy products, a world leader in wind turbines and other renewable energy technologies.
Horizontal Axis Wind Turbines
Horizontal axis wind turbines are most efficient when they are placed high up in the air and where the wind tends to come from the same direction. The horizontal design allows for maximum power generation capability, which makes these good for high-power consumption applications. Where there are no height requirements and no obstructions, horizontal axis wind turbines are the right choice. Systems range from 100W to 250kW.
Hybrid Systems
New Edison Energy’s hybrid streetlights use two different renewable energy technologies: wind and solar, combining a 300W vertical-axis wind turbine and an 85-watt solar panel. The wind turbine generates electricity all day and night, while the wind is blowing, and the solar panel generates electricity while the sun is shining.
Solar PV
Solar PV panels can be mounted on rooftops, on poles or on the ground. They are used to create electricity, which can be used to charge batteries for off-grid applications or grid-tied applications. Solar arrays can come in all sizes from one panel to hundreds, depending on the power needs of the customer.
Solar Thermal
Solar thermaltechnology uses either flat panels or evacuated tubes to collect the sun’s energy. Solar thermal is used to heat water, which can be used by a hot-water system or even to heat an entire home or business.
